Up Stream

BURBERRY has started a technological trend this season after streaming its spring/summer 2010 show live on VOGUE.COM - and now Louis Vuitton is getting in on the action too.
Marc Jacobs' spring/summer 2010 collection for the French house will be shown live on its Facebook page on Wednesday at 2.30 pm Paris time. Watchers will be able to comment live on the collection as it happens - a format that was successful at Burberry - and will also be able to watch the collection film on demand for 24 hours.
Emporio Armani followed Burberry's London lead in Milan, where Giorgio Armani revealed that it was about providing a front row seat for everyone"through the democracy of the internet".
Alexander McQueen - already a Twitter devotee - also announced that he would live stream his Paris show on Tuesday and echoed Armani's sentiments: "I wanted to create a sense of inclusion for all those in the world who are interested in my work and the world of fashion," the designer said.
